Warzone 2.0 - What's different?

With the exciting news that Warzone 2.0 has an official launch date planned for the 16th of November, we wanted to go over a few things you can expect to be different from the original Warzone.

So let's get into some of the major differences below:

  • New Map - Al Mazrah, it's reportedly massive and the developers are stating it's the biggest battle royale map they've ever made.

  • Loadouts are gone - instead of purchasing predefined loadouts, you now need to create custom weapons prior to the match that can be purchased from 'The Shop' during a match.

  • Swimming mechanics and underwater combat - the game uses a completely new engine compared to Warzone 1, so you can expect nearly everything to feel different. One of those things, you can now shoot pistols underwater.

  • New Vehicles - Several new vehicles, including boats, make travelling around the map a little less time-consuming and a little more tactical.

  • Split Gas Circles - This one is huge! Instead of the usual gas circle that closes in on a final location, you now have 3 separate gas circles. These will close in on 3 individual locations with them all coming together during the end phases to make one final circle.

  • 2v2 gulag - we don't need to say anymore here...you get it.

  • Enemy AI Strongholds - These are AI-controlled POIs on the map that you can choose to engage with. High risk = high reward loot!

There we have it, the major differences that we know you will all notice first as summed up as we possibly could. As always, we love hearing your thoughts so jump on to one of the socials and get involved! #CoD #Warzone2 #Warzone #CallofDuty
