Red Bull Gaming have announced an Australian-first live event offering amateur Fortnite players the
opportunity to draft their dream Trio team from some of Australia's best Professional players and Content Creators to compete for a share in the $50,000 prize pool and to take out the title of Australia's first Red Bull High Grounds Champion.
Qualifiers for the event will take place online and in person at Fortress Sydney on the 20th April and 4th of May 2023, with fifteen captain positions up for grabs.
Amateur players that qualify as one of the fifteen Captains will move on to draft their teams from allocated talent pools, each selecting one Fortnite professional and one top-tier content creator to make up their Trio.
One of Australia’s most successful gaming creators and Red Bull Player, Lachlan Power will be heading up the content creator pool. “I’m excited to be involved in Red Bull High Grounds where we can bring together professional players and creators to support rising talent in Australia’s Fortnite scene. It’s going to be an entertaining night for the audience, and for us!’
The live event tournament will take place on stage on May 27th at The Star Event Centre Sydney, where the fifteen drafted trios will compete in front of a live in-venue audience with tickets available to attend here. The event is open to anyone 16+, and if attending, you can expect opportunities to meet some of your favourite creators and idols face to face and we hear there will even be audience games for giveaways while cheering on their favourite players.
