ASUS takes us back to 2005, but why?

Remember 2005, the year Logitech launched the G15 keyboard with a small LCD display? Well, Asus has yeeted us back almost 20 years with a new product announcement giving nothing but G15 nostalgia vibes.

Asus has announced the ROG Raikiri Pro, an officially licensed Xbox controller with a built-in 1.3-inch OLED display.

Now, one might be asking what cool things you can do with this neat little screen...and so far, it seems like not too much at all... The controller's tiny 1.3-inch display has been confirmed to display custom animation, battery life and microphone status. It features all the usual additions you would expect from a pro-level controller, including adjustable joystick sensitivity and dead zones, remappable buttons and different trigger modes. This thing looks incredible, as you would expect from any ROG product, but with no price announcement and an expected launch in the first quarter of 2023, we are interested to see if this is received as a solid product or more of a gimmick with the limited screen functionality. Head over to our socials and let us know your thoughts!
