Asus ROG x Aim Lab Harpe Ace Review

Let's get a couple of things cleared up real quick. My first PC was in 1998 with a classic ball mouse where you had to pull it out and scrape all the built-up grime off at least once a day to maintain smooth movement, and I have been a heavy mouse and keyboard user ever since.

My first real 'gaming' mouse was the Logitech G500 back in 2009, and oh my, was this a game changer. From here, I've used several gaming mice over the years and, more recently, settled on the Razer Deathadder V2, which has served me well for the last three years. However, with the ever-increasing leaps and bounds in technology, a lot has changed in three years, and it's time for an upgrade. So the legends over at Asus ROG and Aim Lab have sent us the new Asus ROG x Aim Lab Harpe Ace wireless gaming mouse to get us up to speed and ahead of the competition, so let's get into it.

This collaboration brings more than just a fancy name or a shiny skin. We are talking about Asus ROG and Aim Lab here; one makes some of the world's best gaming peripherals, and the other is arguably the world's best Aim Training application used to help provide insights and improve your accuracy in video games. This collab takes things to a new level with Aim Lab settings optimiser, software that will run you through a series of tests and analyze your play style to make setting suggestions tailored to you that may help improve your accuracy.

After using the ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition in several matches of Fortnite, Valorant and even some classic CSGO, I have to say that I was really impressed with its performance, as the mouse feels years ahead of anything I've used previously. The mouse features a super lightweight design and a simplistic but comfortable grip, making it ideal for long gaming sessions and FPS games that require a high level of accuracy.

The ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition comes with a 36,000 DPI optical sensor with industry-leading < 1% cpi deviation compared to the average deviation of 3%, which provides unmatched precision and tracking, particularly useful for FPS and competitive games that require quick and accurate movements to gain a competitive edge. The mouse also features ROG Micro switches, known for their durability and responsiveness, providing a 70 million click lifespan and ensuring that every click is registered promptly and every shot taken is another shot hit.

One of the standout features of the ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition is its extremely lightweight design, coming in at only 54 grams, making it one of the lightest on the market. The mouse also features ROG Speednova Wireless technology giving it one of the lowest response times, tri-mode connectivity with multiple options, including USB, low-latency 2.4ghz RF, and Bluetooth, all while boasting a whopping 90 hours of battery life.

Overall, the ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition is easily the best gaming mouse I've played with to date and one that provides gamers with the performance and customization options they need to excel in the latest games. Its lightweight design, accurate tracking, and customizable lighting make it a great option for both casual and competitive gamers alike.
